Somos vision of inclusion and collaboration has led to the foundation of the first Pan American ancestral cooperative. Together, scientists, entrepreneurs and indigenous leaders will dynamically propose and discuss the best actions that need to be taken and considered for a REAL collaborative approach in Latin America, which includes: incentive alignment, data governance, data security, collaborations & aim/scope of the future projects.

Edgar Garcia is currently a Senior Support Engineer in private sector, where he provides complex IT support for customers worldwide. He is also a volunteer General Coordinator of the project "Lenguas Indigenas de México en la Web." Originally from Sonora, Mexico, Edgar received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Security Engineering from the TecMilenio University. As a senior, he started working in the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C. in 2010 (his fifth job at 22 years old). There he worked in the IT support and as an Assistant to the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM), where he gained a better perspective of the Abya Yalla, Pacha Mama, and Turtle Island, under the different Country members in the geopolitical level.

Recognition for the social continuity of the legacy of Emiliano Zapata (2017). Recognition by Harry Reid (US Senator 2012 )for the social and cultural work with the Zapata Foundation. Recognition by the Mexican Consulate in Santa Ana, for exalting the importance of the History of Mexico once again for his research and work at the Zapata Foundation (2019).

Full-time researcher at the Department of Environmental Medicine and Toxicology/Unit of Molecular Biology and Genomic Medicine of the Institute of Biomedical Research at UNAM, Mexico and Head of the Genomic Medicine Unit at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán. Contributed to the training of 22 undergraduate, master and doctoral students. Her scientific productivity has been cited more than 2300 times. He has published more than 90 articles in international arbitration journals with an impact factor, such as: Nature, Cell, Journal of the American Medical Association and Journal of Clinical Research.

Dr. Carlos Alberto Aguilar Salinas is a Surgeon from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (1980-1986). He is a specialist in Internal Medicine (1986-1989) and Endocrinology (1989-1991) from the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition (INCMNSZ ) and Doctor in Medical Research from the National Polytechnic Institute. He did a research fellow (1992-1994) at Washington University, School of Medicine (St Louis MO, USA) on the study of lipoprotein metabolism, under the mentorship of Dr. Gustav Schonfeld, founder of the first “Lipid Clinic ”In the USA. As of 2017, he is the Founder-Director of the Research Unit of Metabolic Diseases of the Institute itself. Dr. Aguilar Salinas has made original contributions on the pathophysiology, treatment, and actions for the control of type 2 diabetes and dyslipidemias in Mexico. In 2018 he was awarded the National Prize for Sciences and Arts.
